Rule Adherence
Rule adherence is the degree to which your actual trades match the rules in your trading plan, including planned entries, stops, sizing and session limits. It is the behavioral metric that separates a plan from a hope: most traders know their rules but break them under emotion. A journal measures rule adherence by recording your intention alongside your execution for every trade. Traders Vault supports this by letting you tag trades with the planned setup and compare intended versus actual risk-reward, making the gap between plan and execution visible and correctable.
