Auto-sync on MetaTrader 5
Journal every MT5 trade automatically, while you keep trading.
The Traders Vault EA (Pro) watches your MT5 terminal and pushes every closed trade to your journal the moment it closes. No CSV exports, no manual entry on Pro — just a complete, honest record you can actually review.
Free tier: 2 accounts, no card required.
Why it matters
Why MT5 traders need an automatic journal, not a spreadsheet
The more you trade, the more a manual journal costs you. Automatic sync removes the friction, so the record is complete and the review actually happens.
Read-only EA for MT5
The Traders Vault MT5 EA reads your closed-trade history and sends it over HTTPS with a per-account API key. It never places orders, changes charts, or touches your indicators, and it runs on its own chart window alongside your other tools.
Full trade data, automatically
Entry, exit, lot size, P&L, commission, swap and timestamps are captured the moment a trade closes. No transcription errors, no missed trades, and no guesswork about what actually happened.
Catch-up and CSV fallback
If MT5 was closed when a trade closed, the EA catches up automatically on its next run. You can also import manually from CSV any time to backfill older accounts or platforms that are not yet supported.
FAQ
Questions about MT5 journaling, answered.
How does the MT5 trading journal sync automatically?
Traders Vault syncs MT5 trades with a read-only Expert Advisor. You create an account, copy your per-account API key from the connectors panel, and drop the EA onto a chart. The moment a trade closes, the EA pushes the full trade data over HTTPS: entry, exit, lot size, P&L, commission, swap and timestamps. If your terminal was off when a trade closed, the EA catches up automatically on its next run. Setup takes about two minutes, and manual CSV import remains available for backfilling or for platforms that are not yet supported. The journal never sees your broker password or login credentials; only your closed trades and the account nickname leave the terminal. Data is stored on Cloudflare, identity is handled by Auth0, billing by Stripe, and the AI that answers your insight questions runs on DeepSeek.
Is the MT5 EA safe with my other indicators and EAs?
Yes. The Traders Vault MT5 EA is read-only: it reads your closed-trade history and sends it to the journal, and it never places orders, changes charts, or touches your indicators. It runs on its own chart window, so follow the usual one-EA-per-chart convention and it sits alongside everything else. Because the sync is read-only, the risk of interference is minimal, and the journal never sees your broker password. If you run several accounts, each gets its own API key, so trades land in the correct vault without cross-contamination. The EA is a single .mq5 file with no external dependencies. Data is stored on Cloudflare, identity is handled by Auth0, billing by Stripe, and the AI that answers your insight questions runs on DeepSeek. On Pro, setup takes about two minutes: create your account, grab a per-account API key from the connectors panel, and drop the EA or cBot onto a chart.
Which MT5 brokers are supported?
Traders Vault works with any broker that runs MT5. In our 2026 audit we checked 356 brokers and prop firms one by one against their own sites, and the brokers table on our home page shows exactly which platforms each one supports, with the evidence trail behind every entry. There is no per-broker integration code, so adding a new broker costs nothing on your side. If your broker is not listed, CSV import still gets your trades into the journal, and the Free tier covers two accounts so you can test manual entry and CSV import before upgrading to Pro for terminal auto-sync. The journal never sees your broker password or login credentials; only your closed trades and the account nickname leave the terminal. Data is stored on Cloudflare, identity is handled by Auth0, billing by Stripe, and the AI that answers your insight questions runs on DeepSeek.
